I provide guided journeys through the breathtaking Scottish Highland mountains of the Cairngorms (Am Monadh Ruadh), helping you to interpret the natural environment and cultural heritage in safety.
The Cairngorms National Park is a unique place to visit. A day may start amongst the Scots Pine remnants of the once vast Caledonian forest, before climbing a granite mountain shaped by glaciers to reach the wilderness of the vast boulder strewn summit plateau. The park has fifty five Munros (Scottish mountains over 3,000 feet), including four of the five highest peaks in Britain. Or you may prefer to trace the route of one of the historic drove roads which run through the mountains, dissecting the landscape which has inspired generations of artists and writers. On any given day you’re likely to encounter some of the incredible wildlife which inhabit the park, much of it of international significance, and see signs of the social history of the land.
Enjoy a guided day out in the mountains on a journey tailored to your interests or personal objectives.
